FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What's in SNB?

Only all-natural ingredients. Our original blend includes just four ingredients: coconut oil, cocoa butter, beeswax and vitamin E oil. Our other products use ingredients like kokum butter, candelilla wax, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, cayenne peppers, chiltepin peppers and arnica flowers.

What are our products used for?

Our products are used to promote skin health. They are used to prevent blisters and chafing during activity, and to restore and repair dry skin.

Can you use SNB on your feet?

Yes. Our anti-chafe salves also prevent blisters. By putting SNB on your feet, you'll stay blister free throughout the day. Plus, we have a foot-specific blend called Happie Toes. We add tea tree and peppermint oils that help keep your feet smooth and free of fissures.

Let's talk about about our Happie Toes product.

Our Happie Toes blend is great for skin restoration. Happie Toes is blended with kokum butter and laced with peppermint and tea tree oils. So, the product is slicker than our original blend, and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Use Happie Toes on your feet and hands to restore dry, cracked skin to health.

Where can SNB be applied on your body?

Our salve also works as skin restoration on eczema, dry or cracked hands, lips, feet and face – extremely convenient for diaper rash, tattoo recovery, razor burn or people who generally enjoy softer skin. A skin patch test is recommended before full application. Discontinue use should irritation occur.

What's the difference between SNB and Vegan SNB?

We use beeswax in our original SNB blend. In our vegan blend, we replace the beeswax with candelilla wax, which is derived from the leaves of a bush native to the southwest.

Does SNB stain clothes?

As an oil-based product, there are some fabrics that may stain when they come into repeated and close contact with our product. But in our three-plus years of selling products, we have only heard of a few such instances. If a stain does occur, we recommend that you treat the affected area with a spray before putting the item in the laundry machine.

Can you use SNB on Tattoos?

Absolutely! Our edgier Squirrel's choose SNB as their go to to soothe and repair their skin after getting some work done. A skin patch test is recommended before full application. Discontinue use should irritation occur.

Can SNB be used on children?

SNB is child safe and never tested on animals – our salve is born from coconut oil, cocoa butter, beeswax (Not included in the vegan option) and vitamin E oil to give you the most natural prevention and alleviation for even the most sensitive skin. SNB can be used for nappy rash, eczema, skin irration, grazes, burns and more. A skin patch test is recommended before full application. Discontinue use should irritation occur.

Is SNB water repellant?

Don’t worry about sweat or water, the salve creates a water repellant film that protects while letting your skin breathe, so nothing can hold you back. This is great for surfing, triathletes, body boarders, open water swimmers and recreational bathers.

What's the best container for warmer temperatures?

As an all-natural product, the consistency of our salve changes with the temperature. The most versatile container for both extreme cold and moderate heat is the stick. The SNB double-wall tub is designed to act as a little thermos to protect the salve from extreme heat. The tub blend becomes rather hard at temps below 18°C but is perfect for hot temperatures. In hotter temperatures, up to 49°C, use the tub. However, if you have the tub in freezing weather, you can still use it. No to worry though. Simply twist off the top, squeeze the sides of the tub together, and pop the SNB puck intp your hand. You can use the puck like a bar of soap where needed. You can also rub your fingers over it a few times for use. A little goes a long way. Keeping the Tub in a warm room or in your pocket is also a quick fix.

What's the best container for colder temperatures?

As an all-natural product, the consistency of our salve changes with the temperature. The most versatile container for both extreme cold and moderate heat is the stick. If you are racing or training in cooler weather, we suggest using the SNB Sticks. The SNB Sticks are the best application choice for temperatures below freezing up to around 35°C.

Why is my SNB Tub solid?

Well..... thanks to us only using natural ingredients, the tub will become solid in temperatures below 18°C. This is the same effect as with your coconut cooking oil at home. If your SNB Tub is solid - think about wearing a long top. If your SNB Tub is soft - wear a short top.
